There are some interactions between the drugs included in the question. However, due to their nature and severity, these interactions are generally not a contraindication to the simultaneous use of these drugs. The simultaneous use of a calcium channel blocker (here: Amlodipine, one of the active substances of Co-Prestarium) and an alpha-blocker (here: Ranlosin) may cause an additive hypotensive effect - especially at the beginning of treatment (after the first doses). Several reports in the medical literature have documented that concomitant use of these drugs resulted in symptomatic hypotension. In addition, the combination of calcium channel blocker/alpha-blocker may lead to increased serum concentrations of one or both drugs. Caution should be exercised when introducing a new drug into therapy. It is recommended to initiate treatment with Ranlosin at a lower dose in patients stable on Amlodipine and vice versa. Please check your blood pressure regularly. Please be careful when changing your body position - slowly get out of bed. If you experience excessive tiredness and need for sleep combined with sleep disorders, difficulty concentrating, increased sensitivity to cold (especially cold hands and/or feet), pale skin, dizziness and headaches, fainting or other disturbing symptoms - please contact your doctor.
