Is sclerotherapy contraindicated during treatment with Izotek?

Good morning. I have just started treatment with Izotek for now in a small dose of 20 mg per day, and I weigh 60 kg. However, I am under the care of phlebology and I have planned sclerotherapy in 10 days for small spider veins on my legs. Can I surrender to it? My dermatologist expressed the opinion that I can do sclerotherapy at any time during treatment, but I would also like to know the opinion of other specialists. Can there be any side effects?

Sclerotherapy is not a contraindicated procedure during treatment with isotretinoin (contained in Izotek), in this matter it is worth trusting the doctor. Procedures carried out on the skin are contraindicated. Izotek can make the skin more sensitive. Do not remove hair with wax, dermabrasion or laser treatments (to remove keratinised skin or scars) during treatment or for at least 6 months after treatment, as this may lead to scarring, skin irritation and, in rare cases, a change in skin tone. The popular side effects observed during Izotek treatment are dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, so during treatment it is recommended to use moisturizing ointments and creams, as well as lipstick or lip balm.
