As I have already written - oral hormonal contraception is very effective (in over 99%), provided that it is used correctly.
Does this mean that if I take birth control pills every day and always remember about the pill and do not skip the pill, it is also an effective method?

Both methods are very effective, however, it is believed that the injection is more effective. This is primarily due to the fact that in the case of an injection, the patient's error aspect falls off - the drug simply works and you do not have to remember to take the tablet every day. To a lesser extent, it is also susceptible to gastrointestinal interactions or disorders, because the hormone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, but directly into the blood from the site of administration. However, the injectable contraceptive method also has its drawbacks - for example, it cannot be stopped at any time if the patient does not tolerate it well. The choice of the right agent also depends on possible contraindications and ultimately decides the gynecologist.
