Does Cetix weaken the effect of Kontracept contraceptive pills?

Hello. I have acute sinusitis for this went all this eye. I was given the antibiotic Cetix, the contraceptive pill I have is contracept. The last intercourse I had was on Monday, today is Wednesday. When can I take an antibiotic? I would like as soon as possible because you feel very unwell, but I'm afraid that I may get pregnant because of it.

You can start the antibiotic as soon as possible, at a time of day convenient for you. Cefixime, contained in Cetix, has not been placed as a substance that affects the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill Kontracept, but the mechanism of action of the drug suggests caution as a rule. For the duration of antibiotic therapy, as well as for 7 days after its completion, you should additionally protect yourself in a mechanical way (e.g. with a condom), and protection against pregnancy will be maintained.
