What should I do if I took double doses of birth control pills last week and therefore do not have pills for this week?

I started a new pack of birth control pills. If in 1 week I took pills from the 1st and 2nd week (Friday and Saturday) on Friday and Saturday respectively, will something happen to me or possibly will it disturb the hormonal balance / effectiveness of contraception? What should I do in this situation? Start a new pack or take the pills until the end of this package, skipping this week the tablets from Friday and Saturday (because unfortunately these are no longer there)?

In a situation where the contraceptive pills you are taking have fixed doses in each of the active pills, there is no reason to worry. If you took double doses of the drug last Friday and Saturday, the contraceptive protection was maintained, there was only a risk of increased side effects. Next Friday and Saturday you should take more contraceptive pills. In this way, you will run out of active pills two days earlier, so the break or taking placebo tablets will start sooner. The next cycle of taking tablets will begin two days faster than it would result from the previously established scheme. More information on the use of contraceptive pills can be read at the following link: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
