No, exercises in the gym and working with your hands do not affect the effectiveness of the implant. In very rare cases, the implant may be shifted when practicing "contact" sports, but this occurs mainly as a result of too deep initial introduction. In such cases, the removal of the implant may be difficult, but it still does not affect the preservation of the effectiveness of contraception.
