Should I worry if I have elevated d-dimers?

Good morning, for a month I used EVRA patches and d-dimers with the correct amount of increases up to 3000. PT, APTT, fibrinogen are fine. Patches are not used. He does not feel any pain in his legs. In this case, can it be thrombosis? I learned from the doctor to repeat the test after some time. Should I be worried?

Certainly, according to the doctor's instructions, you should repeat the test at a later time and check whether the level of d-dimers decreases. The use of hormonal contraception carries the risk of blood clots and therefore caution should be exercised when disturbing symptoms appear. You should not worry in advance, it is worth following the doctor's recommendations in such a situation, or contact a phlebologist - he will indicate the appropriate procedure by analyzing the results of the tests.
