At midnight I drank Monural for cystitis. By 5 a.m. I was already feeling a lot of pressure on my bladder and I had to urinate. Will the drug being in the bladder for 5 hours work as it should? Is it too short?

Dissolution in a glass (250 ml) is also the correct procedure. The manufacturer described two different options for preparing the drug for consumption, but in different documents (leaflet and safety data sheet), hence the discrepancy. Regards :)
40 ml of water? In my leaflet it says "Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water and drink immediately." so I dissolved the drug in 250 ml and drank.

The action of the antibiotic depends on its absorption into the bloodstream, urination 5 hours after taking Monural does not affect its therapeutic effect. The active substance penetrates from the blood into the kidneys, bladder walls, and its therapeutic concentration is maintained in the urine for up to 48 hours after oral administration. Let me remind you that Monural should be taken in the evening, before going to bed. Dissolve the sachet in about 40 ml of boiled and cooled water and drink it immediately after preparation.
