What to do if after the drugs Depralin and Sulpiride the husband sleeps and nothing interests him?

From 25.10.2022 the husband takes Depralin ODT 5.mg. Previously, he had mild symptoms of depression. Now his condition has calmed down so that after eating each meal he lies down and either sleeps or lies down. He was no longer interested in anything. I mention that at the same time he takes Sulpiride Hasco 50mg. Is there hope that these medicines will eventually help him and he will return to normal life? Please answer because I do not know how to proceed.

Please consult a psychiatrist who guides your husband. It may be necessary to change the dosage of medicines or add an "activating" drug. The condition you describe may indicate a deepening of depression, so you should consult a specialist as soon as possible. In parallel, psychotherapy should be implemented. Therapy with a psychologist is often the most important element of treatment and only in this way - by combining regular visits to a psychologist and taking medications can you get an improvement in your health. You can also use teleadvice with a psychologist here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja I also encourage you to read our article and to watch our short video: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/depresja
