Will switching from Trileptal to Neurotop affect sodium levels?

Hi I take trileptal 600 about 3 months I have a decrease in sodium to 127.The doctor changed my drug to neurotope 600 which I already used. When changing the drug, sodium will normalize.

Changing the drug from Trileptal 600 to Neurotop 600 may affect the concentration of sodium in the serum, i.e. cause a return to normal parameters. According to the literature, serum sodium levels return to normal in patients after dose reduction, discontinuation of treatment (discontinuation of the drug in your case) or after the implementation of conservative treatment (e.g. limited fluid intake). However, sodium levels should be monitored, as Neurotop 600 is also at risk of a decrease in sodium levels. In the absence of improvement or deterioration of health, be sure to consult your doctor.
