Good morning. The daughter suffers from smallpox. Yesterday for the first time I gave hascovir 200/5ml in syrup. She had nightmares at night, woke up screaming and believed very much in the truth of these dreams. I read in the leaflet that very rarely but this is an undesirable effect. Is it only at the beginning of the use of the drug? Will the daughter react this way with each application? Can I replace it with another drug? I'm afraid to give it anymore and I don't know what the treatment is.

According to the information contained in the summary of product characteristics, hallucination/confusion disorders are very rare and transient - subsequent doses of the drug should no longer give such significant side effects. Disorders similar to those described may also accompany high fever. If the situation does not improve, you should consult a doctor.
