Can pregnant women take potassium iodide in case of radiation contamination?

If I am currently pregnant and have my thyroid removed (after iodine treatment for thyroid cancer in 2015), should I take potassium iodide in case of danger?

In case of radiation infection, it is necessary to follow the rules in force in this extreme situation, this also applies to pregnant women. It is worth mentioning that taking potassium iodide "in reserve", before contamination occurs, does not make the slightest sense and can only harm. You can read more about it in the entry below: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/czy-wypic-plyn-lugola-w-razie-wybuchu-elektrowni-atomowej-plan-na-wypadek-skazeni
