The active substance in Polprazole is omeprazole and the active substance in Aciprex is escitalopram. Simultaneous use of both preparations may cause an increase in the effect of escitalopram and its side effects. Especially dangerous can be arrhythmias. For this reason, a break of e.g. 2-3 hours should be maintained between the use of both preparations, then nothing bad should happen. If medicines have been prescribed by different doctors, a consultation is indicated to determine whether these medicines can be used simultaneously and, if so, whether there is a need to change the recommendations on how to administer them. If the drugs were prescribed by the same doctor, please follow the dosage regimen. Please inform your doctor about any alarming symptoms.
