My partner takes a regular injection of hyrimoz, drinks two bottles of beer every day, claiming that it does not affect his treatment. Is this normal?

There are no specific interactions with alcohol in the Hyrimoz leaflet, however, the risk of interactions cannot be completely excluded - it may be possible depending on the patient's state of health, individual risk factors and other medications taken. There is no detailed research available on this issue. However, available sources report that moderate drinking (up to 2 standard servings for men, i.e. up to about 500 ml of 5% beer) may be safe for some people using Hyrizmoz. Consuming larger amounts of alcohol can be harmful to the liver. Therefore, drinking alcohol during treatment is worth consulting with the attending physician, who has detailed information about the patient's state of health and the medications he is taking.
