Hello. I have taken the antibiotic biseptol for klebsiella pneumoniae. From 10 years ago I took it and I was fine. Now i'm a little afraid to write that if someone has kidney failure it should not be taken and how do I know? I did a urine test and culture. Urine ok only bacteria came out and from the culture of the bacterium .i 5-10 leukocytes.

If you are concerned about the health of your kidneys, you should first perform laboratory tests: creatinine, uric acid, general urine test, urea, albumin/creatinine index in the urine (ACR). It should be borne in mind that the manufacturer is obliged to include all contraindications, even those that occur very rarely. In my opinion, you have no reason to worry and can use the drug of course if there have been no incidents / hospitalizations due to kidney disease before. Of course, you can also consult your doctor or use our portal and teleadvice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja In the link below you will find the most frequently asked questions about the drug Biseptol: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/12127/biseptol-960-tabletki/pytania
