Treatment with Citaxin should be continued long enough to prevent depression from recurring - usually for at least 6 months after the symptoms of the disease have subsided. The antidepressant effect of the drug is usually obtained only after 3-4 weeks of treatment. The final duration of treatment is decided by the attending physician.
