Can I take Vesicare pregnant?

Can I take Vesicare pregnant? I have an overactive bladder and nothing else helps with pain and pressure on the bladder.

According to the drug documentation, there are no clinical data on the safety of solifenacin (the active ingredient of Vesicare) during pregnancy in humans. Animal studies do not indicate direct harmful effects with respect to fertility, embryonal/foetal development or parturition. The final decision is made by the attending physician, who will consider the ratio of the benefits of treatment to the potential risks to the child.
