Patients taking diazepam (e.g. Relanium) should avoid alcohol consumption. Alcohol consumption may exacerbate symptoms such as sedation, amnesia, impaired concentration and muscle dysfunction. To sum up - yes, there is a risk that drinking alcohol will worsen your well-being and treatment effects.
