Can Metformax cause me to get pregnant if I'm after menopause?
On the occasion of recent tests, it turned out that I have an elevated sugar level, so the doctor prescribed me Metformax 500. In the leaflet I read that it is also used in polycystic ovary syndrome. I don't know what that means, but I used to have cysts on my ovaries and I'm a little afraid of relapse. I am after menopause can Metformax cause pregnancy?

Metformax does not cause cyst formation on the ovaries. This medicine reduces insulin resistance in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and thus has a positive effect on fertility. If you do not have polycystic ovary syndrome and you are physiologically infertile (the gynecologist confirmed that you have already had the last menstrual period in your life), metformax will not reverse this state of affairs.
