During the change of treatment, the disease may worsen, due to the fact that the new drug needs time to start working fully. A constant concentration of leflunomide in the body is reached after about 2 months of regular use of the drug. After this time, it is possible to determine the effectiveness of the preparation. If joint pain intensifies and hinders normal functioning, the current therapy should be discussed with your doctor.
