Good morning. A few days ago my throat began to hurt and I got a runny nose, the doctor after just looking at the throat ordered me the antibiotic Auglavin, which, however, I did not take, because the throat after one day stopped hurting, only a runny nose remained and there was a wet cough with expectoration of yellow-green secretion, no elevated temperature. However, should I take an antibiotic because of this cough or wait until it passes by itself? Best regards

The doctor who examined you must have noticed symptoms indicating a bacterial infection, which decided that you should take an antibiotic. It is worth following the medical recommendations, and if you think that they are not accurate, discuss your objections with this particular specialist and determine a different method of treatment. If you decide to use an antibiotic in accordance with your doctor's recommendation, I remind you that the treatment should last as long as the recommendations provide (even if the symptoms have passed earlier). I would also like to remind you that during and after antibiotic therapy it is worth taking care of probiotic therapy. Preparations can be ordered using GdziePoLek online with home delivery.
