Is it worth it for Dad to continue taking Namaxir if the drug does not help?
Namaxir administered with rheumatoid arthritis after more than a year of use (currently 15 ml) does not have an effect. Is it worth it for Dad to continue to do it? Unfortunately, he feels a lot of undesirable activities, he has cancer. It also takes min. Metypred. We have the impression that it also does not help anything, rather harms. The attending physician did not respond to his question. Please indicate what to start with this.

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with Namaxir is a long-term treatment - the preparation modifies and slows down the progression of the disease. Metypred has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and may be a short-term supportive treatment in case of exacerbation or deterioration of health, m.in rheumatoid arthritis. I understand that the patient does not feel a spectacular improvement, but the assessment of benefits to risk and the decision to end or change treatment should be extremely careful and in my opinion you will not be able to make it without the participation and guidance of a doctor who will look at the patient's health comprehensively (taking into account m.in, the nuisance of side effects, prognosis in the course of cancer, the patient's age, his expectations for therapy or the real possibility of using another treatment). It should be taken into account that the available drugs are not able to completely cure RA, you can try to allow the patient to achieve a stage of remission and as normal functioning. However, the doctor should react to information about the occurrence of side effects, as well as about the lack of expected improvement.
