What probiotic to use during the eradication of H. pylori?
Hello, the doctor prescribed me Emanere4x1, Tetracyclinum 4x2, Metronidazole 3x1,Ulcamed 4x1 to cure helicobacter. As a probiotic prescribed Enterol250 but it is a drug for diarrhea and I do not have such symptoms. Is it possible to use any other probiotic? Unfortunately, after antibiotics I often get ringworm, so I would like to take a probiotic to prevent this.

I encourage you to follow the recommendations of the attending physician. The use of Saccharomyces boulardii (i.e. the strain present in Enterol) increases the effectiveness of H. pylori eradication by about 10-14% and reduces the side effects of antibiotic therapy. If you really want to change your probiotic, an alternative can be HelicoGastrin, which combines 2 strains: Saccharomyces boulardii and Lactobacillus (L.) reuteri. S. boulardii yeast, inhabiting the digestive tract, can compete with H. pylori, while the L. reuteri strain has the ability to aggregate with H. pylori and eliminate it from the body. Such complementary, synergistic action of these probiotics means that by combining them with a standard set of drugs, a higher eradication rate can be obtained.
