The information contained in the summary of product characteristics: "the use of levonorgestrel (Escapelle) does not constitute an indication for the continued use of regular hormonal contraception". Escapelle should be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. If you have swallowed the medicine after 48 hours, its effectiveness should be maintained. Not every woman feels discomfort after using Escapelle - side effects may or may not appear. If you take the contraceptive pill correctly, their effect should be maintained despite taking the pill after.
