Problems with defecation are not a direct contraindication to the use of Controloc, although it should be borne in mind that after using the drug, gastrointestinal disorders, including constipation, may appear. However, constipation is an uncommon side effect of this medicine, i.e. it is less common in 1 in 100 people. The probability that Controloc will worsen the condition associated with defecation is therefore small, but if a clinical deterioration is observed, this should be communicated to the doctor. Controloc contains a substance called pantoprazole, which belongs to proton pump inhibitors, reducing the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Hence, the basic indications for the use of the drug are stomach ulcers or reflux disease. For my part, I would like to add that we talk about problems with defecation when the bowel movement occurs less than once every 3 days. When such a problem occurs, it is worth using non-pharmacological methods at the beginning, I mean changing the diet (a larger amount of vegetables, fruits), paying attention to the right amount of consumed fluids, or providing a daily dose of exercise. When these methods fail, it is worth using mildly acting laxative preparations such as: lactulose, plantain ovoid, while trying to avoid strong drugs based, for example, on senna, which can lead to "getting used to" the intestines and even worsening the problem when they are abused. More about the methods of treating constipation can be read in the following article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/zaparcia-jak-z-nimi-walczyc.
