There is no need to hold the green button all the time (you can, because it makes it easier to hold the pen to the skin, but you do not have to), so it is very likely that the drug has been administered correctly. Hold the pen to your skin until you hear a click. The click can be heard in about 5-10 seconds when the needle begins to hide. Only then can the pen be moved away from the skin. The pen, of course, is disposable, so it is not recommended to try it again.
