Hello, I just noticed that I crashed a thermometer on the balcony bought in Chinese, the post was in red, is it possible for this thermometer to be mercury? How to clean it up? Is it harmful? Does it affect children in any way? And on the action of the contraceptive implant?

Mercury can be collected gently using transparent adhesive tape or an adhesive roller to clean clothes. You tear off a piece of tape, apply it gently to the mercury balls and they will stick to the tape. It uses a lot of tape but it works great. I tested today on the tiles in the kitchen... Then you need to wash with water
with soap or dishwashing liquid. Good luck...

No, mercury thermometers cannot be sold in Polish pharmacies. This is related to the European Union directive in force since 3 April 2009 prohibiting the placing on the market of mercury used in thermometers. This ban has been in force for more than 10 years. Currently, mercury-free glass thermometers are on sale, in appearance they do not differ from mercury ones. They are filled with alloys of metal, indium, tin and zinc. The alloy used in the mercury-free thermometer post is safe for health. Therefore, if the thermometer breaks, it does not threaten your health. If it happened to break such a thermometer, simply wipe the liquid residue with a wet cloth and thoroughly clean the broken glass. Glass can normally be disposed of in the garbage like ordinary household waste. If it was mercury (black round balls) I invite you to read: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/co-zrobic-gdy-rozbije-sie-termometr-rteciowy
