Hello. I forgot to use the Novynette contraceptive pill yesterday at 20:00 (Thursday) Today I realized when I was supposed to take today's also at 20:00 (Friday), i.e. about 24 hours have passed since the omission of that one. For tomorrow I don't have any anymore because I have a 7 day break from Saturday. I panicked and took two at once. These were the last two of the packages. Will I have any side effects of this? If so, what should I do? Thank you so much.

Any delay in taking the tablet for more than 12 hours (from the planned time of admission) may reduce the effectiveness of contraception. That is the only effect that could occur with you. In my opinion, however, you did the right thing and in this case for a period of 7 days (from Saturday to Friday inclusive) you should take a break from taking the tablets, and after that time continue taking the tablets from the next package. Of course, if earlier all the tablets were taken at appropriate intervals and were not skipped. However, if you are not sure, you should use mechanical contraception from the moment you skip the tablet until you use 7 active tablets of the next pack.
