Terbinafine is not an antibiotic - it does not work on bacteria. This compound belongs to antifungal drugs, it is used in diseases caused by fungi. Terbinafine is mainly used in the treatment of fungal infections of the skin, including infections on the fingers, toes and onychomycosis.
