In my opinion, Finlepsin 400 Retard will be a better alternative, because, as in Tegretol CR 400, carbamazepine has an altered-release form in this product: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/29858/finlepsin-400-retard-tabletki-o-przedluzonym-uwalnianiu/apteki/w-warszawie However, due to the formulation and narrow therapeutic index of carbamazepine, the decision on the most appropriate modification of treatment should be made by the doctor. It is generally believed that even if switching medication is not the optimal solution, it is still better than stopping therapy.
