I suppose it is about the preparation Debretin. If so, please read on. Debretin is a drug that is generally well tolerated. Rarely there are allergic skin reactions, fatigue, nausea. There is no information that the drug causes weight gain and such an adverse reaction is unlikely to be expected. The preparation is used in disorders of the gastrointestinal tract such as irritable bowel syndrome or abdominal pain, intestinal spasmodic conditions, diarrhea or constipation. Although - as I mentioned - the drug itself does not affect body weight - it can be imagined that the disappearance of food ailments can affect, m.in, the patient's appetite and the ability to assimilate nutrients. However, this is the expected effect and should not be the cause of uncontrolled weight gain if the patient eats rationally.
