Could something be wrong if I'm pregnant and I had asthma as a child?

If I was small, I had asthma, I treated her, then she did not take medication and after some time the family doctor said that you do not need to consult a pulmologist. My question is whether there can be something wrong as I am pregnant?

If you are currently an adult, without symptoms of asthma, it is difficult to answer whether something can interfere with the course of pregnancy. During pregnancy, the course of asthma can change under the influence of hormones, however, the direction of these changes is very different - in some women, asthma during pregnancy has the same course as before pregnancy, in some it is less severe, and in some the course of asthma worsens. There is a so-called early childhood asthma, which most often affects children up to 5 years of age. It happens that its symptoms disappear during adolescence or in the times of early youth, but they can recur at a later age. Whether a patient with early childhood asthma still requires treatment, examinations and consultation is decided by the doctor. Asthma in pregnancy can be treated effectively and safely. So if you were pregnant, and there were problems with breathing, shortness of breath or other symptoms of asthma, the doctor will be able to choose drugs to reduce the ailments.
