Hi I am 34 years old. I have been taking cyclo-progynova for over a year now. This month, menstruation was scanty. Hot flashes have returned :( What should I do? Does this drug no longer work for me?

When using Cyclo-Progynova, bleeding of varying severity may occur, usually during long-term therapy. Reducing the secretion of estradiol by the ovaries may give instability to thermoregulation causing hot flashes. The return of ailments despite the drug used should be discussed with a doctor who will order appropriate tests, e.g. checking the level of hormones and based on your health condition will determine whether the current therapy requires a change.
