When can I give breast milk to my baby if I have used Dostinex?

On Wednesday at 11 p.m. I finished taking Dostinex. I took 0.5 tablets every 12 hours because I had a heart attack in my chest and after giving birth I was 3 days. Now my breast milk came back and I thought that I could pull the milk with a breast pump and give it to the baby. Can I express this milk and give it to my daughter? Will I harm her?

Do not breastfeed or give your baby expressed milk while taking Dostinex. The half-life of the preparation is very long (it is about 60 h), which means that only after at least 300 h from the moment of taking the last dose, the concentration of the drug drops in the blood to practically zero. From the above, it follows that the first expressed milk can be safely given to you after about 13 days from taking the last dose of the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24511/dostinex-tabletki/apteki I encourage you to read our study on drugs during lactation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leki-a-karmienie-piersia
