Does the smear test result showing an increase in Candida albicans indicate oral candidiasis?

Good morning. Can the result of the throat swab "From the tested material, the physiological flora of the throat - growth (+++), including individual colonies of Candida albicans, was grown from the tested material indicate candidiasis infection?

Fungi of the genus Candida are the physiological flora of the oral cavity. They can lead to the development of ringworm if there are favorable conditions for excessive growth. If you do not feel any symptoms indicating oral candidiasis (e.g. thrush, mucositis, corners of the mouth) there is no reason to worry. Otherwise, consult a doctor.
