There is no home test for lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance can be confirmed by performing the following tests in the laboratory: Most commonly: *Hydrogen breath test, allowing to detect the concentration of hydrogen in the exhaled air after ingestion of lactose within a specified time interval. Elevated levels of hydrogen indicate digestive disorders that can be caused by lactose intolerance. *Fecal ph test - a decrease in pH below 6.0 (acidification) may indicate improper absorption and digestion of carbohydrates (food intolerance). *Lactose tolerance test - consists of several times the assessment of serum glucose concentration: before consuming lactose and at certain intervals after its consumption. *Direct examination of lactase activity in the bioptate of the mucous membrane of the small intestine. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/nietolerancja-laktozy-czy-da-sie-ja-wyleczyc
