Should I stop the mini-pill if I bleed frequently?

Good morning Since May I have been taking Ovulan, unfortunately there were 2 times a month bleeding lasting after 6 days. The doctor changed me to Cerrazette, I start the second package and it is even worse bleeding are every 6 days. The drug is taken at a fixed time, regularly. Should I stop taking the pills? Isn't a mini-pill for me.

With both Ovulan and Cerazette, irregular bleeding may be an inconvenience. Bleeding may also not occur at all. The absence of bleeding is more likely after some time of use of the drug. However, this is not the rule for all patients. If frequent bleeding is unacceptable to you and you do not want to wait for a possible change in the bleeding profile when using Cerazette, then the decision to stop taking the preparation is yours. Bleeding alone does not adversely affect the contraceptive effect or the patient's health in general, although greater than usual blood loss may promote anemia. In case of doubt, it is best to contact a gynecologist - there are other methods of contraception that perhaps would be for you to consider.
