Can the drug be used during breastfeeding? I had hemorrhoids, the doctor did sclerotizations of aethoxysklerol em em 3% and now prescribed distreptaze. I read in the leaflet and the Internet that both one and the other drug is contaminated during lactation. Can this have a negative impact on the health of the child?

When asked about Aethyoxysklerol, I answered here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/87561/aethoxysklerol-czy-w-ciazy-mozna-stosowac-leku-aethoxysklerol but when it comes to Distreptaza, it should not be used during lactation, it is best to express milk for a few days. The drug, which passes into milk, may give such systemic side effects as in the person taking it, e.g. allergic reaction, bleeding, leukocytosis, increase in body temperature. This also does not mean that such an side effect must occur: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow More information about the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/23990/distreptaza-czopki I recommend the entry: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-mozna-stosowac-w-ciazy
