Which IUDs are the best?

Hello, The gynecologist offered me tablets or a copper or hormonal insert for protection. I took the pills for 3 years and I did not feel too good after them. The doctor said that the form of protection depends on me but the insert is better because it is for 5 years. Copper or hormonal insert which is better? Pros and cons of each and is the IUD actually safer than tablets in general? Does putting on the insole hurt? Please feedback because I do not know what is a better form of protection or whether there is something other than tablets and insert better? Thanks
