All medicines are recommended to be carried in hand luggage - due to temperature changes in the luggage compartment and due to the possibility of missing checked baggage at the airport. It is worth having a certificate from a doctor in English to be sure that the airport staff will not refuse to bring the medicine (and needles) to the plane. Not at every airport they may require it, but it is a certain security in case of questions from the staff.
