Hi, I have a question whether people working in the police, guards or other state institutions can become patients of medical marijuana :)?

From a legal point of view - MM therapy has no restrictions as to the profession performed, but the problem may be that, for example, if someone is a driver (in the police officers also use company cars) it is difficult for them to administer a dose of MM and go to work, for obvious reasons ;) In addition, police officers carry weapons - and I guess the use of drugs (I know that it is a drug, but it does not change the fact that it works on the CNS) does not go hand in hand with a permit to possess a weapon (I think there is something like that in these psychiatric "tests") - there is always a risk that after MM someone may get something unstuck and may put off the crooked action, It may be a 1/million case, but the risk exists? Unless it's a "desk" job without a weapon - I wouldn't see any contraindications here, but it is known that this is a state service so they have their own procedures and probably 0 tolerance for drugs, regardless of their origin and purpose of use - this is what I heard from a colleague who was considering starting to wear a uniform ;)
In addition, I refer my colleague to the Cannabis Policeman Activist - there are several of his articles, podcasts, etc. on the net. - has been in the police force and can speak ;)
Do you know anything?

The profession does not constitute a medical contraindication to treatment. The doctor can always issue a sick leave for the time of incapacity for work. On the other hand, the possibility of performing a given job is decided by the occupational medicine doctor, not the doctor treating the patient.

I sent an inquiry to a specialist doctor - perhaps he will be able to answer this question based on his experience with existing patients. It seems to me, however, that this question is worth directing to a lawyer.
