Usually, during an exacerbation of asthma, it is recommended to take 2-6 inhalations of a short-acting bronchodilator on an ad hoc basis. Usually, a fast-acting inhalation β2-mimetic containing salbutamol (e.g. Ventolin) or fenoterol (Berotec, Berodual) is used. You can take this medicine using an inhaler or an inhalation chamber (spejser). Each patient should have an established management plan for asthma exacerbation, which is communicated by the attending physician and should be addressed. If Berodual is in aerosol form - this is the best and fastest solution in exacerbation of asthma among the listed drugs. If, after using a diastolic drug, the symptoms persist or there is another exacerbation, you should urgently see a doctor (POZ or on SOR).
