Can I take a nasal swab while using Pecto Drill?
Good morning, according to the doctor's recommendation, I use Pecto Driil (lozenges) once a day. I plan to do a swab from the tongue for fungi and bacteria, will this drug not falsify the result, or should I wait some time after finishing taking this drug?

In my opinion, you can take a swab from the tongue while taking Pecto Drill. A swab from the tongue should be done in the acute phase of infection, before the use of antibiotics or 5 days after the end of antibiotic therapy, in the morning, on an empty stomach. Before the swab, do not brush your teeth, use local antibacterial and antifungal drugs, rinse your mouth. Pecto Drill is a prescription expectorant used to treat respiratory diseases. It has neither antibacterial nor antifungal effects. So it is best to do a swab in the morning before brushing your teeth and before applying the drug on this day.
