Is it possible to use Protopic ointment for neuropathic calf problems with type 2 diabetes?

I have ct2 and huge neuropathic problems with my calves, feet, and I live in the UK. Someone advised me on this MASC PROTOPIC. Is this a good idea?

Protopic is an ointment-based medicinal product that contains the active substance tacrolimus with immunosuppressive effects (inhibits the immune system response). The ointment is used to treat eczema during atopic dermatitis (AD). To the best of my knowledge, such a drug is not used for neurological problems associated with complications of diabetes. If such a recommendation came from a person who is not your doctor or other medic authorized to such advice, then in my opinion it is not a good idea. Due to diabetes, it is worth going with such problems immediately to a specialist in this field. For my part, I will remind you that the basic issue of treatment and prevention of neurological complications is to maintain normal blood glucose levels, metabolic alignment. It is also worth remembering about proper foot prevention. I send a link to the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-wyglada-stopa-cukrzycowa-objawy-i-leczenie
