Good morning, two weeks ago I finished treatment with Pylera. During the entire treatment and 10 days after the end of the antibiotic, I used Helicogastrin. For two days I have been tired of loose stool and a large presence of yellow, foamy mucus. Please advise what to use?

Diarrhea and atypical stool is a common side effect of Pylera, quite often as a result of taking the drug there is an increase in the concentration of liver enzymes observed in laboratory tests (AST and ALAT), which may be the reason (but does not have to) of stool staining - it is worth doing these tests. Bright, yellow stool may also be the result of diet, it may indicate inflammation within the intestinal mucosa, bile secretion disorders (bile then stains the feces), but to determine the cause, you should see a general practitioner who will decide on treatment or referral to further specialists (e.g. gastroenterologist). It is very good that you used a probiotic (Helicigastrin), I recommend continuing to take probiotic bacteria, but it is worth changing the strains taken - a different composition will be, for example, in Vivomixx. If the symptoms do not go away within a few days or begin to worsen - I recommend consulting a doctor. Please also remember about good hydration in the form of electrolytes and other liquids: herbal teas, compotes, water and an appropriate, easily digestible diet.
