Good morning. Is it normal that during a 7-day break in taking the combined contraceptive pill I feel headaches? Best regards

I have exactly the same symptoms during the 7-day break from taking the pills. From the 3rd to 7th day of the break, a migraine headache that lasts non-stop, Apap extra does not help, but it relieves this pain enough to make it bearable. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one with these symptoms. Best regards.

It cannot be excluded that headaches in the described situation are the result of a decrease in hormone levels as a result of discontinuation of tablets for the duration of the break. If the pains are very annoying, then it is worth talking about it with a gynecologist. There are pills taken in a different regimen, where the fluctuations in hormones are less and this can alleviate the ailments "from withdrawal".
