On Thursday, I finished a 10-day treatment with Gynalgin according to all recommendations (vaginally 1 tablet per night). At the same time, according to the recommendation of the gynecologist, she uses Lacidofil orally 2x a day. Throughout the use of Gynalgin I felt burning and smelling and to this day they have not subsided, and it is the 3rd day after the last dose of Gynalgin. Is there still a chance that the ailments will subside or should you go to the gynecologist for a check-up?

It is difficult to determine whether itching and burning are associated with an untreated infection, an adverse reaction of Gynalgin or, for example, excessive vaginal dryness that accompanies some intimate infections. If most of the infectious symptoms have disappeared – e.g. vaginal discharge, unpleasant odor, pain, and itching and burning appeared only during the use of Gynalgin, it can be suspected that this is an adverse effect of the drug. If from the beginning you felt itching and burning, which did not go away after the treatment, you can suspect that the infection has not been cured and it will be necessary to repeat the treatment, e.g. with another drug. Before you use a visit to the doctor, it is worth trying over-the-counter preparations that can alleviate the symptoms. These can be: - tablets/vaginal globules containing probiotic bacteria, such as: Lactovaginal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/42178/lactovaginal-kapsulki-dopochwowe/apteki Invag: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/38124/invag-kapsulki-dopochwowe/apteki Lakcid Intima: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/88833/lakcid-intima-kapsulki-dopochwowe/apteki - creams and globules with lactic acid and hyaluronic acid with moisturizing effect, leveling the pH within the vagina and soothing irritations, e.g. - HydroVag: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/36870/hydrovag-globulki-dopochwowe/apteki - Mucovagin globules: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50568/mucovagin-globulki-globulki-dopochwowe/apteki - Mucovagin gel: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50569/mucovagin-zel-zel/apteki - Provag gel: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/64896/provag-zel-zel/apteki I will also add that through GdziePoLek you can order these products with home delivery or book them at a nearby pharmacy.
