The symptoms that you feel are most likely related to the switch of the hormonal axis to contraceptive pills. This is due to the process of adaptation of the body to the dose of hormones administered to it. They are typical side effects occurring in the first month of use (possibly of lesser severity also in the second cycle on tablets) and should disappear spontaneously at the next package. These symptoms should not be a cause for concern if spotting is not abundant, painful and prolonged - less than 10-14 days. Otherwise, you should consult a gynecologist. Midcyclic spotting may be accompanied by lower abdominal pain similar to those before menstruation, it can also take the form of secretions with blood of different colors, e.g. brown, red or pink. Midcyclic spotting does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
