Can I split the Siofor XR 750 tablet in half?

Hello, can the tablet siofor xr 750 be divided in half because I have difficulty swallowing them in full, and in a few days I have to increase the dose to 1500 or is it better to take the whole dose in the evening or spread the drug after 1 tablet in the morning and evening? Does it matter more?
