Spotting when using the first pack of contraceptive pills - what to do?

Good morning. The doctor prescribed me orgametril to delay my period due to the trip. I took 1 tablet a day 14 days before the planned menstruation as recommended. In two days I should get my periods and I started to stain despite taking the drug. In that case, should I be afraid of getting menstruation despite medication? Is it possible to abandon it after all? And should I continue taking the medicine?

In the initial period of using contraceptive pills, bleeding or mid-cycle spotting is more often observed. If you take the pills as directed, the spotting you mention is not related to menstrual bleeding. Please continue taking the tablets until the occurrence of bleeding will not be a problem - after stopping the tablets, usually 2-3 days after taking the last tablet, there should be a withdrawal bleeding resembling menstruation.
